- April 30, 2012: The Hope Tree Project, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden (children’s garden), Richmond, VA. (In partnership with LGBG and as part of the Virginia Commission of the Arts Minds Wide Open 2012 celebration) What is a hope you have for yourself or for our community? Join me as we unveil a decorated tree display of traditional Latin American hope charms created by youth from ten Richmond area high schools. (I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the publication of The Girl Who Could Silence the Wind!)
