Exciting news came across my twitter feed last night. It seems that Tía Isa Wants a Car has taken a little road trip up I-95 – and ended up in Vermont! It’s been named a Red Clover title for 2012-2013.
The Red Clover Program “promotes the reading and discussion of the best of contemporary picture books in nearly all of Vermont’s elementary schools. Each year over 20,000 K-4 students read, or have read to them, the ten nominated books.
The Award is co-sponsored by the Vermont Center for the Book / Mother Goose Programs and the Vermont Departments of Education and Libraries.”
I’ll be saying hello to the librarians via twitter on Wednesday (#vsla) beginning at about 10:15 am EST. I am so excited and honored to be included on this list. ¡Gracias bibliotecárias!
I’m not surprised your book has been traveling. I sent a copy to my daughter in upstate New York to read to our grandson (when he gets older…). She read it, loved it and has been blabbing to her friends with slightly older children. Great books get talked about it. Tia Isa one of those book.
Congratulations on more well-earned recognition, Meg! Tia Isa has clearly struck a nerve.
Hooray! TIA ISA keeps on chugging!!! 🙂
Road trip!
Ah… sounds like the beginning of TIA ISA’s cross-country tour. And to think that Isa’s original goal was the beach…? Well, hey Aunt Isa — Meg’s got big plans for you and that car… Congratulations on this recognition, Meg! Fabulous.
I can’t believe it was my tweet …. ! We love Tia Isa in Vermont and so will thousands of school children!
Ah, these are the joys of twitter!
YAY, Meg!! What great news! We love Tia Isa at my house in RVA, too.
Congratulations!
Thanks everybody!
